Q.

Hi Tim, Are you aware of the movement to restore San Jose State's original name, California State [normal school] (1862-1921) and California State University, San Jose (1972-1974). For more info on the movement see, http://www.gostate.org. In addition to being historical proper, many alumni and students feel that having the more nationally recognizable words California State back in the school's identity would help them market their degrees. We also believe it would help elevate Spartan football from its current image as the team of a small-time city college commuter school, to that of a well known major California State University campus, not to mention the oldest one. Doesn't California State Spartans sound alot better than "SJSU Spartans"? Thanks, Gostate.org

I agree, though it might get me confused with Long Beach, Fullerton... I'm easily confused.
